But that is not all. Oh, no. That is not all…

wild things coverHappy Publication Day, everybody!!!

We’re just so pleased to announce that today you can, at long last, go out and get yourself your very own copy of our book Wild Things! Acts of Mischief in Children’s Literature.  It’s been quite the journey since we three sat down in 2009 and tried to figure out what kind of book we’d like to write.  And now, at long last, it is here.

But does the fun have to stop here on the blog?  By no means!  In fact, we’ve a special treat for those of you interested in the true stories behind the newest books coming out in 2014.

We asked more than twenty of our favorite authors and illustrators with books coming out in 2014 to tell us some behind-the-scenes tales about their own latest books.  Want to know the real origins between Lisa Graff’s Absolutely Almost or Cece Bell’s El Deafo?  Curious about the cheeky monkey hidden in Steve Light’s Have You Seen My Dragon or the correlation between ancient rhymes and championship football rings in N.D. Wilson’s Boys of Blur?  Then stop by every day and we’ll have a new video up with an author saying, in their own words, how a book came to be.

In the meantime, enjoy our book!
