She has also written a<span style=\"color: #181818;\">\u00a0non-fiction text for library students, called <em>Children&#8217;s Literature Gems: Choosing and Using Them in Your Library Career<\/em>. <\/span>In addition to writing for <em>The Horn Book<\/em>, she is the creator of the blog <em><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.slj.com\/afuse8production\/\">A Fuse #8 Production<\/a><\/strong><\/em>.\u00a0Betsy was born in Kalamazoo, Michigan, and now lives with her family in New York City.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-81 \" src=\"http:\/\/wildthings.blaine.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/photo-131.jpg\" alt=\"photo (13)\" width=\"171\" height=\"171\" srcset=\"http:\/\/wildthings.blaine.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/photo-131.jpg 200w, http:\/\/wildthings.blaine.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/photo-131-150x150.jpg 150w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 171px) 100vw, 171px\" \/><br \/>\n<strong><span style=\"color: #c34a2c;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\">Julie Danielson<\/span><\/span><\/strong> is a regular contributor to <em>Kirkus Reviews<\/em> and <em>BookPage<\/em> and has also written for <em>The Horn Book<\/em>. At\u00a0her blog, <em><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.sevenimpossiblethings.org\">Seven Impossible Things Before Breakfast<\/a><\/strong><\/em>, she has featured and\/or interviewed hundreds of picture-book creators. Julie, who lives with her family in Tennessee, also teaches picture books as a Lecturer for the School of Information Sciences&#8217; graduate program at the University of Tennessee, where she got her library degree in 2002.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"font-size: large;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/wildthings.blaine.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/peter.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-60\" src=\"http:\/\/wildthings.blaine.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/peter-202x300.jpg\" alt=\"peter\" width=\"179\" height=\"261\" \/><\/a><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"font-size: large;\"><span style=\"color: #c34a2c;\">Peter D. Sieruta<\/span><\/span><\/strong> was an author, book critic, and frequent reviewer for <em>The Horn Book<\/em>. He wrote young adult fiction in his lifetime and contributed to several reference books in the field of children&#8217;s literature.
